Central Arkansas Development Council will distribute commodities at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center at 403 E. Main on March 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. Commodities are available to persons meeting income guide lines. Call 353-2095 about these guidelines or more information.

. A gospel singing concert will be held March 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the First Church of God on Highway 67 South in Gurdon. Featured group will be the Happy Day Singers. Everyone is invited to attend.

March 21 at 3:00 p.m., Muldrew C.M.E. Church will celebrate its 99th anniversary as a church family. Rev. Lewis Ross of Pine Bluff will bring the message.

The board of directors of Central Arkansas Development Council will meet Monday, March 22, at 6:30 p.m at the Malvern Senior Adult Center located at 836 Acme Street. Interested persons are invited to attend.

Sharon Lavette Robinson and Harold Thomas Dickens are proud to announce the birth of their son, Shemar Joierre Dickens, on Tuesday, March 9, 1999. He weighed 6 pounds, 7+ ounces. He measured 20+ inches long.

Grandparents are Ollie and Jo Ann Robinson of Arkadelphia, Ethel Faye Robinson of Arkadelphia and Barbra and the late Andy Joe Dickens of Gurdon.

Center Ridge Cemetery Assn. will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, at the cemetery. If you are interested in the cemetery, you need to attend.

There will be a meeting of the South Fork Cemetery Association Sunday, March 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the South Fork Church.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
