Ellen Holt

Miss Ellen Marie Holt, 79, of Prescott, died Sunday, November 26, 2006, at her home.

She was born on May 22, 1927, in Prescott, to Luther and Elba Rinkle Holt. She was a retired bank teller from Union National Bank in Little Rock, from the Bank of Prescott, and she was a former employee of Arkla Gas of Prescott. She was a member of the First Unite Methodist Church; United Methodist Women, Marie Thomas Circle, and Alma Eagle Sunday School Class, all of the Prescott church, and former member of the B and PW Club of Prescott.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her survivors include two first cousins, Dixie Clary of Emmet and Susan Jodion of California; and several other cousins and friends.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott, with Rev. David Kassos officiating. Burial in Liberty Cemetery, Redland Community, in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Monday, November 26, 2006, from 5-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Virginia Easterling

Virginia P. Easterling age 90 of Prescott died Sunday, November 26, 2006.

She was the widow of James T. Easterling. Virginia was born in Booneville, on September 9, 1916 to Arch E. and Lillie Burns Pearson. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Prescott.

Survivors include sister, Ruth Daniel of Prescott and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Bob and Archie Pearson and sister, Violet Matthews.

Memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 245 Prescott, AR 71857. Visitation was Monday, November 27 between 6-8 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home.
