James FloydPublished Wednesday, November 15, 2006 in the Gurdon TimesJames Hershel (P-Leg) Floyd, 86, of Prescott, died October 29, 2006, in Hope. He was born October 4, 1920 in Gurdon. He attended Calvary UPC in Gurdon. He was a retired logger. He was the son of James P. and Maggie Faulkner Floyd. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Floyd of 33 years; his mother and father; daughter, Dora Margaret Stinnett; one brother and two sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Floyd and husband, Walter and Jamie Driver and husband, Allen; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four very special step-children; two step-sons, Bruce and Jean Jenkins and Paul and Sherri McClure; and two step-daughters, Betty and Don McMinn and Deena Lewis. Graveside services were Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in Bethlehem Cemetery with Bro. Bill OConnel officiating, under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home. Visitation was held Tuesday, October 31, 2006, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Herndon Funeral Home. Services under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home of Hope.
