Nettie LemonsPublished Wednesday, November 8, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Nettie Gertrude Nelson Lemons, 88, of Prescott, formerly of Waldron, died Monday, October 30, 2006, at her home in Prescott. She was born on February 8, 1918, in Redland Community, to William and Mattie Bolles Nelson. She was a homemaker and retired owner/operator of The Ladies Shop in Waldron. She was a member of First Baptist Church; past president of the Waldron Band PW; lifetime member of Eastern Star, Waldron Chapter; Sew-N-Eat Club of Waldron; past president of Waldron Garden Club; Rose Garden Club of Prescott; Benjamin Culp Chapter of DAR in Prescott; and an avid bridge player. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lemons; two brothers, Willie and Ray Nelson; and two sisters, Thera Greer and Cleo Sandusky. Her survivors include one brothe, Paul Nelson of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Faye N. Andrews of Prescott; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Prescott, with Dr. Ed Claybrook officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Thursday, November 2, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
