Jeffrey Shane Sampson, 23, of Prescott, died Monday, October 9, 2006, in Prescott.

He was born October 15, 1982, in Prescott, to James A. Jimmy Sampson and Barbara Hill Sampson. He was a road construction contractor. He was a member of Missionary Grove Baptist Church in Prescott, and loved to fish and hunt.

He was preceded in death by one brother, George Daniel Sampson; his paternal grandparents, Pearson and Oma Sampson; and by his maternal grandparents, D.S. and Mildred Hill.

His survivors include his father, James A. Jimmy Samspon of Prescott; his mother, Barbara Hill of Prescott; one brother, James Pearson Sampson and Kelli of Campti, La.; one nephew, J.D. Sampson of Prescott; one niece, Shelby Sampson of Campti, La.; and numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2006, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Revs. Neal Ridling, Perry Johnson and Josh Bullock officiating. Burial was in Antoine Cemetery in Antoine. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Wednesday, October 11,2 006, from 7-9 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
