Fireston begins expansionBy Wendy LedbetterPublished Wednesday, October 25, 2006 in the Nevada County Picayune Firestones Prescott facility is expanding. Though Firestone has not yet made a formal announcement of the plan, Prescott city officials announced on Oct. 16 that the plan is to build a 153,000 square foot building on the Firestone property. Prescott Firestone Plant Manager Bill Smith said Wednesday that the company is planning a groundbreaking ceremony soon, though he said he cant yet predict when that will occur. Smith said the details of the building plans, including any impact on Firestones local production, will be released at that time.
