Thomas Dundee

Thomas Erroll Dundee, 68, of Texarkana, went home to be with the Lord October 15, 2006, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Dundee was born March 12, 1938, in Sioux City, Iowa, and grew up in Prescott. After graduating from Henderson State University acquiring a masters degree from Texas A & M, he taught in Emmet and Texarkana, Espanola, New Mexico, and Texarkana, Texas. He retired from TISD after 33 years of teaching. He was in the National Guard and enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Emma Z. Dundee; his sister Dorothea Dundee; his brothers, Samuel Dundee, James Dundee, and Robert Lewis.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Lou Dundee; his son, Thomas James Dundee; one daughter Mary Emma Dundee; one brother, Charles W. Dundee of Phoenix, Ariz.; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; a special sister-in-law, Nita Dundee Wicker; and life-long friends, P.A. Escarre, Jim Slagle, Stanley Barger and Charles Pirtle.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at the Fuqua-Everett Memorial Chapel of Texarkana Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Schreve officiating. Burial was at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Piney Grove Cemetery in Prescott, under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home on Texas Blvd.

The family received friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home on Texas Blvd.
