With the mercy rule invoked during the fourth quarter, the Wolves took home another major victory on the road to what could become a top spot in the conference. The Wolves took an early lead against the Horatio Lions and simply refused to give in to the persistent pushing of the Lions.

The game was homecoming for Prescott High School and the game was delayed while homecoming royalty and their escorts took the field for homecoming exercises.

When the game began, the Wolves pushed down the field in an effort for a touchdown, but can't make the play and turn over to the Lions. It wasn't a costly mistake and the Wolves retake the ball before the Lions have a chance to make a serious push back down the field. It took the Wolves only a few minutes for quarterback Ben Smith to pass to Chris Anderson, who carried the ball in for the first Curley Wolf touchdown of the game.

A few plays later, the Wolves fumble the football and hand it over to the Lions. That wasn't the end of the story and the Lions returned the favor by making a fumble of their own, putting the football back in the hands of the Curley Wolves.

A series of penalties plagued the Wolves, including procedural penalties that cost several yards.

Over the next few plays, the Wolves nabbed several touchdowns. B.J. Hanie managed one of those, taking the Wolves to 27 during the first half.

Justin Marcum made the extra point - a process that would be repeated each time the Wolves made the touchdown.

Immediately following Haynie's touchdown, the Lions picked up a penalty of their own, this one for unsportsmanlike behavior.

Directly after the half, the Wolves press down field, but turned over the

football at the 8-yard line. They recover quickly, but another unanswered Wolf touchdown put the score at 35-8.

The final score of the game was 49-15. The Wolves were credited with 159 yards rushing, 230 passing and eight penalties. Prescott had no

interceptions while the Lions gave up the ball on interceptions one time.

In Cub action, fans saw Prescott win as well. The ninth graders won 42-6 while seventh graders won 38-8.

The Wolves are slated to meet Lafayette there on Oct. 13. The Cubs will have the home field advantage when they meet Lafayette on Oct. 12.
