Jacob D. SistrunkPublished Wednesday, September 27, 2006 in the Gurdon TimesGraveside services for Jacob Douglas Sistrunk, 19, of Minden, La., were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at Gilgal Cemetery with the Rev. Robin Stone officiating. Visitation was held at 5 p.m. on Sept. 18 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Mr. Sistrunk was born in Minden on July 2, 1987, and passed away Sept. 16, 2006. He is survived by her mother, Amanda Adkins, and his step-father, Robert, of Arkadelphia; his father, William Sistrunk of Minden; grandparents, Billy Joe and Paula ORear of Gurdon, Doris Sistrunk of Minden and William and Jane Sistrunk of Doyline, La.; one great-grandmother, Inez Stone of Minden; one sister, Samantha Sam Sistrunk of Arkadelphia; one step-sister, Courtney Vining of Minden; two brothers, Dylan Sistrunk and Hunter ORear of Arkadelphia; one step-brother, Brandon Vining of Minden; three aunts, Carrie McKin, Sunny Efird and Shealan ORear of Gurdon; two uncles, David Bean Pole Weston and David Sistrunk of Minden; and numerous cousins and friends. Pall bearers were Zach Brown, Andrew Blell, Randal Frasier, Jason Plunkett, Matt Rhinehart and Blake Miller. Honorary pallbearer was Mark Vining.
