Earnest Bragg

Earnest Bragg, Jr., 70, of Sparkman, died Sunday, September 10, 2006, at Advance Care Hospital in Hot Springs.

He was born May 8, 1936, to Earnest and Annie Bell Hunter Bragg in Gurdon. He was a former employee of Hunter-Wasson Timber Inc. and was a member of Centerpoint AME Church. He was a graduate of Sparkman Training School.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Bragg, Sr., and three children, James Buck Bragg, Clifton Bragg and Marilla House.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Bragg; four sons, Marcus, Dennis and Scott Bragg of Arkadelphia and Freddie Bragg of Sparkman; three daughters, Cynthia Yarber of Arkadelphia, Audrey Bragg and Joretha Bragg of Sparkman; his mother, Annie Bragg of Sparkman; two brothers, Pastor James Bragg of Sparkman and Charles Bragg of Arkadelphia; three sisters, Billie Brownlee of Mario Valley, Calif., Annie Hunt of Arkadelphia and Bobbie Lambert of Little Rock; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation was Friday in the funeral home from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. with family hour from 6-7 p.m.

Funeral services were Saturday, September 16, 2006, at 1 p.m. in Centerpoint AME Church in Sparkman, with Rev. Harold D. White, III officiating. Burial was in Centerpoint Cemetery by Williams Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Email condolences to williams.hm@sbcglobal.net.
