Edward Clayborn

Edward Lee Clayborn, 69, of Rosston, died Sept. 4, 2006, at his home.

He was born in Caney in a log cabin on May 4, 1937. Mr. Clayborn retired from Potlatch after 26 years. He belonged to Swampshoe Hunting Club.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Clara Clayborn; three sons, Edward and wife Milba and James Clayborn, all of Rosston, and Dennis Clayborn of Atlanta, Texas; six grandchildren, Josh, Mary, Ashley Clayborn, Daniel and wife Becky, Mary Knight and husband Robert, and Fred Best and partner Tammy; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Coy and wife Betty Clayborn of Hope and Frand and Delores Clayborn of Prescott; several nieces, nephews, and family friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Clayborn and mother Trudie Green Clayborn; sister, Willie Mae Pittman and husband Pete.

Graveside service was at Mt. Moriah Methodist Church Cemetery, September 7 at 10 a.m., under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home. Online guestbook at www.shackelfordfuneralhome.net.
