Orbrady McKinney

Orbrady McKinney of North Little Rock and former long time resident of Albuquerque, N. Mex., died February 11, 1999, at the Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock.

Mr. McKinney was born April 10, 1928, in Rosston, to the late Anthony E. McKinney and the late Cornielia Wallace McKinney. He accepted the Lord at an early age and was devoted member of Pleasant Grove Baptist. He attended Arkansas AM&N College in Pine Bluff and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years before retiring in 1970. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Geneva McKinney and two siblings, Owen McKinney and Orene Nelson.

Survivors include his wife, Ella R. McKinney; one son, Melvin R. McKinney of Little Rock; four daughters, Valerie Anthony of Merced, Calif., Joyce R. M. White of Upper Marlboro, Md., Vernita Ndofor of St. Charles, Mo., and Veronica McKinney of Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Mckinney; a son-in-law, Arvell Anthoney Jr.; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four brothers, Olen McKinney of Berkley, Calif., Earl McKinney of Hot Springs, James McKinney of Los Angeles, Calif., and Anthony McKinney of Camden; and four sisters, Corene Smith of Hot Springs, Wilma Hanson of Cleveland, Ohio, Gladys Gulley of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Melverdia McKinney of Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. McKinney also leaves behind to mourn a loving niece, Lillian Richardson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral was Tuesday, Feb. 16, in North Little Rock by Hubble Funeral Home.
