Sam Muldrew

Mr. Sam B. Muldrew, 94, of Emmet, died Sunday, August 6, 2006, in a Texarkana hospital.

He was born September 29, 1911 in Emmet, to William Bunk and Virginia Muldrew. He was retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elnora Hopkins Muldrew and sons, James, John, Otis Samuel and Geary Lewis Muldrew.

Survivors include one son, Charles Muldrew and Constance of Emmet; five daughters, Mae Kathreyn Hendrix and Willie of Chicago, Il., Gwendolyn Taylor and Nathan and Norma Muldrew all of Emmet, Minnie Vain and James of Hewitt, Tx., and Jo Ann Muldrew of Ft. Worth, Tx.; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, August 10 at Shady Grove AME Church in Emmet. Interment was at Snell Cemetery in Emmet, Rev. Larry Ross, pastor. Under the direction of Hicks Funeral Home, Inc. of Hope.
