Rosston Baptist Church was well attended today. Bro. Petie brought a good message from II Samuel. Visitors were Pat Jensen and her daughter, Laura Holtzclaw of Magnolia, Ellis and Winnie Bailey, Nadine Wortman of Houston, Texas, and Bro. Olie Dorman.

We were happy to have Irena Hawkins back in church and Jim and Mona Dixon were back after both being out due to illness.

We got the carpet laid in the church this week for which we are very thankful. The quietness down the halls is great. Thanks again to Valeria O'Keefe for making this possible.

Bro Petie, Laura and Joie and Ellen Wallace attended the basketball game in Pine Bluff on Saturday. We are sorry to hear that Prescott lost.

Paul Broussard was taken to the hospital in Arkadelphia on Thursday night. He has had walking pneumonia and fluid in his lungs and around his heart. I have just learned that he got to come home this afternoon.

Ruth Vinson was taken by ambulance to the Magnolia hospital on Friday morning. Roscoe and I visited her on Saturday night. She came home today (Sunday).

Joie and Ellen Wallace had a wedding in their home Thursday night. Ellen's brother, Robbie Linton of Waldo, and Tiffany Ware of Emerson were united in marriage.

Bernice Sorrells is in the Hope hospital with the flu.

Ted Morman was privileged to shake Bro. Bill Clinton's hand while he was in Hope Friday. Ted was also interviewed by channel 3 in Little Rock. President Clinton came to Hope to dedicate the Virginia Kelly Garden at his birthplace, and also the Clinton Primary School. Misti Gibson and others from Nevada School shook hands with him, too.

Roscoe, Margaret Jackson, Lyn Dean and Amy Morman, Jeff and Tara Carlton and children attended the beautiful wedding of Alan Russo and Keri Gibson at Union Church on Saturday afternoon. Elizabeth Carlton was the little flower girl and she did a great job as well as all the rest. Keri's Uncle Jerry Evans of Taylor performed the doublering ceremony. After a couple of days honeymoon, they will be at home near Willisville. Dail Evans' two brothers, Junior of San Antonio, Texas, and Buddy Evans, of Houston, Texas, surprised them by showing up at the wedding. They spent the night with Dail and Marjorie.

Granddaughters, Tori and Kathryne Rocale, spent the weekend with Tori's parents, Jimmie and Booie Williams, and visited with us on Sunday afternoon.

Bro. Richard Miller and wife Jeannie, our missionaries to the Fiji Islands, were with us tonight. Bro. Richard brought a good message and he and Jeannie rendered a beautiful message in song.

Helen Herring has been brought from the Heart Hospital in Little Rock to the Magnolia hospital. She still needs our prayers.

Max and Ruth Hill and two grandchildren are at their vacation home in Rosston. They are on spring vacation and will be here a few days.

Rosston Church has started a prayer meeting on second and fourth Wednesday nights at 7:00.
