Summer reading holds finaleBy Wendy LedbetterPublished Wednesday, August 16, 2006 in the Nevada County Picayune Its a jungle in there. Those were the words of Prescott-Nevada County Librarian Joyce Gibson as she headed into the librarys conference room for the first session of the summer reading program. But just wait till the finale, she predicted. It really will be a jungle in here. The reading program will continue each Tuesday throughout the summer with the exception of July 4. During each session, children will hear stories as well as watch and participate in the antics of various performers. Gibson said the summers lineup include a magician. And of course, the library mascot - Goldie, the golden retriever - will be hanging out on Goldies pond located inside the librarys conference room.
