Man accused in sex crime case appears in circuit courtBy Wendy LedbetterPublished Wednesday, August 16, 2006 in the Nevada County Picayune A man accused of sexual indecency with a child made an appearance in Nevada County Circuit Court on Aug. 10 with the trial in the case set for Aug. 21. Robert Edmondson, 34, with an address listed on court records as 355 Hale Ave., Apt. 51, was charged with the crime after he reportedly exposed himself to a child in a local business on Feb. 22. Following his arrest, he was charged with sexual indecency with a child and indecent exposure to a person under 12 years old. Both charges are class D felonies and carry penalties of a prison sentence no to exceed six years and a fine of up to $10,000. According to court records, Edmondsons bond was initially set at $25,000, later reduced to $10,000 and was reduced on Aug. 10 to $1,500 with a conditional release.
