Mary Andrews

Mary Ellen Elia (Snapper) Andrews was born to Charles and Lottie Birdwell Elia January 17, 1919, in Whelen Springs, Arkansas. Mrs. Andrews passed away August 4, 2006, at Baxter Medical Center, Mountain Home, Ark. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Mountain Home.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Thomas Nixon of Mountain Home, one grandson David and Mary Nixon of Minden La., one granddaughter, Theresa Weekley of Columbia, Ill., one great-grandson, three great-granddaughters, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred S. Andrews, seven siblings and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Gurdon with the Rev. Charles Hargett officiating. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Monday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Sign online guestbook at www.hornefuneralhome.net.
