James JerniganPublished Wednesday, August 9, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneJames Riley Jernigan, 56, of Emmet died Saturday at his home. James was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Survivors include son, Jimmie Lee Tanner of Malvern; mother, Bonnie G. Sams of Prescott; sister, Bonnie Lee DeBoser of North Little Rock; nephew, Ralph Miller of North Little Rock; niece, Millie Vales, Scott; two grandchildren, Cody and Brett Tanner and other relatives. He was preceded in death by son, Kevin L. Sams. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with interment in DeAnn Cemetery by Shackelford Funeral Home, Prescott.
