Monroe DaileyPublished Wednesday, July 26, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Monroe Dailey, 92, of Prescott, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, in Prescott Manor Nursing Center in Prescott. He was born on August 28, 1913, in Clark County, to Jim and Dora Stevens Dailey. He was a boxer and former Golden Glove Champion know as Kid Dailey. He was a member of Cothran Chapel Baptist Church in Prescott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Dailey; one brother, Elbert Dailey; and one sister, Ermma Cole. Survivor include two sister, Margarite Staggers and Langston of Detroit, Mich. and Edna B. Smith of Hot Springs; one nephew, Freddie Cole of Hot Springs; one great nephew, Fabien Cole of Hot Springs; and three great nieces, Antoinette, Marcellas, and Deatrice Cole, all of Hot Springs. Graveside services were at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2006, in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott, with Rev. Rufus McCall officiating. Burial followed.
