Meet the Prescott Police OfficerBy Wendy LedbetterPublished Wednesday, July 26, 2006 in the Nevada County Picayune Prescott Police Officer David Thomason has been with the Prescott Police Department for three years. He said becoming an officer was something hed wanted to do for some time. Im like to serve the community, Thomason said. That service, according to Thomason, could include working on an investigation or just helping someone in need. He is an EMT and has worked on area ambulance services before becoming a full time officer for Prescott. He received his training at the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in Camden. Since becoming certified, hes taken some additional classes, including training on blood alcohol levels and drug-related issues. In addition, hes worked to learn more about interviews, interrogations and investigations. Im interested in the investigation, he said, adding that he enjoys tracking suspects, conducting interviews to develop leads and searching for clues. I like to keep moving, keep working, on any case Im on. Thomason moved to Prescott from McCaskill, and said he likes the small town atmosphere. He in engaged to Kristine Kimbro of Texarkana.
