Carl WilliamsPublished Wednesday, July 19, 2006 in the Gurdon TimesCarl J, Williams, age 68 of Gurdon went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 13, 2006. He was born in Eagletown, Okla., on Sept. 15, 1937, to David and Mina Todd Williams. He was a logging contractor and attended Beech Street Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Paul Williams, of Gurdon; one daughter and son-in-law, Carlita and Steve Escalante of Gurdon; four grandchildren, Ashlyn, Luke, Caleb and Braden; two brothers D.C. Williams of Broken Bow, Okla., and J.R. Williams of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Verna Snyder of Anchorage, Alaska; and countless other cherished family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by his family and friends, but knowing he is safely home with his Savior is our comfort. Funeral Services, were at 10 a.m. Monday, July 17, at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bernard Escalante officiating.
