BoughtonMrs. Willie HooksPublished Wednesday, March 17, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune We got lots of rain, but the snow missed us. It was just cold. Congratulations to Robert Orren and Sharla Williams. They were married Saturday at the First Pentecostal Church at Hope. They went to Eureka Springs on their honeymoon and they ran into five inches of snow. Those attending the wedding from Prescott were Dale Orren, Everette and Mary Orren and Huey and Freddie Garner. After the wedding Everette and Mary watched the Arkansas and Iowa basketball game with Cliff Chism. Our son, Willie Hugh, spent Friday night with us and accompanied his dad to Texarkana Monday to see his doctor for a routine checkup up on his heart bypasses. We extend our sympathy to the family of Bill O'Rourke over his death. He was buried Sunday afternoon at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Miss Ashley Beck spent the weekend with her granddad, Herbie Ridgell. Carroll and Mary Jo Lambert and Josie Anderson of Benton, Robert Orren and Everett and Mary visited Chloe Orren during the week. Allen and Nell Elmore and son, Zayne, of Winnsboro, Texas, visited his grandmother, Elsie Elmore, Sunday afternoon. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
