Accident claims liffe; NCSO investigatesBy Wendy LedbetterPublished Wednesday, July 19, 2006 in the Nevada County Picayune Nevada County Sheriffs Deputies have not yet identified the victim of a one-vehicle accident on Nevada 428. According to Nevada County Sheriffs Chief Deputy Danny Martin, a person who happened to be passing by noticed the accident and reported it to the NCSO. Martin said Deputy Aaron Easley was the responding officer. According to the report, a body was visible inside the vehicle, which had apparently left the road, struck a tree and burned. Easley then contacted Nevada County Coroner Gary Hicks and notified the Arkansas State Police. Martin said the state police involvement was prompted by the need to identify the body, which had also been burned. The investigation is now in the hands of the Arkansas Crime Lab.
