Doyle LucasPublished Wednesday, July 5, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneDoyle Edward Lucas Sr., 67, formerly from Little Rock and Redfield, passed away Monday, June 26, 2006. He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Gill Lucas of Prescott; three sons, Johnny Lucas of Fort Smith, Steve (Sonia) Lucas of Little Rock and Doyle Lucas Jr. of California; one daughter Cherrie (Danny) Wilson of Prescott. Other family members includes grandsons Seth and Stephen Jr. (Jasmine) Lucas, and great-grandson Mason Lucas all of Little Rock; granddaughter Katy Wilson of Prescott; sister-in-law Carolyn Cullins; nephews James Chamlee of Little Rock and Mike Chamlee of Prescott; sisters JoAnn Glahn and Barbara DeSantis and numerous other nieces and nephews, all from California. Doyle was preceded in death by son, Andy Lucas; parents Tom and Annie Lucas; two brothers T.W. and Johnny, and sister Artie. Doyle was retired from the United States Army and the United States Post Office. He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War and proud member of the VFW, American Legion, the American Postal Workers Union, and a member of the Assembly of God Church. Doyle was loved very much by his family and liked by all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed. Funeral services were Friday, June 30, at 2 p.m. in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Piney Grove Cemetery.
