A Dallas, Texas, man who was arrested in Prescott on drug charges has been released on bond, according to information from the Nevada County Sheriffs Office.

Anthony Donel Mallard, 21, 5405 Gaston Ave., Dallas, was arrensed on U.S. Highway 371 near Willisville on June 6, according to report filed by Nevada County Sheriffs Deputy Aaron Easley.

Easley indicates in his report that the Mallard was driving erratically, had crossed the yellow line several times and at one point was traveling at 80 miles per hour. Easley then made a traffic stop. According to the report, he was informed by the Nevada County Sheriffs Office dispatcher that Mallard had outstanding warrants in Texas.

Easleys report indicates that he searched his patrol car after delivering Mallard to the county jail and discovered a small ball of duct tape. There was a clear, crystal-like substance inside that turned out to be crystal methamphetamine. This discovery led to felony charges of possession of a controlled substance.
