Its a lot of fun for a great cause.

That was the sentiment repeated many times as those associated with the timber industry in the area gathered to celebrate the annual Log-A-Load for Kids event in Prescott.

There were eight loads of logs, several loads of lumber and a variety of goods donated by local merchants lined up at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.

Of course, the event included a turtle race and a catfish dinner, catered by Woods of Camden.

Josh Guess, Camden, is a Potlatch employee with a personal reason for supporting the event. Guess said his 3-year-old nephew has been diagnosed with cancer.

Its a good cause for families, said Ben Goss, Texarkana, another Potlatch employee.

Its a good cause for everybody, Guess said.
