Callie Pauline Pruitt, 82, of Gurdon, died Sunday, June 11, 2006 in the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs.

She was born September 11, 1923 at Beaton, Ar the daughter of James Walter and Carrie Hall Terry. She was a homemaker and an active member of Third St. Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Elmer T. Pruitt; two daughters, Barbara Humphery and her husband Terry of Houston, TX and Sheryle Yofe and her husband Luis of Minneapolis, MN; two grandchildren, Angela Head of Friendswood, TX and David Humphrey of Austin, TX; two great grandchildren, Caleb and Callie Head of Friendswood, TX; three sisters, Coda Burton and Juanita Grier both of Okolona and Lucille Cox of Houston, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Greg Kirksey officiating.Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Visitation was from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
