Feb. 12 at MenaPublished Wednesday, March 17, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Lady Bearcats were Prescott's final victims in the regular season as the Wolverettes beat Mena 61-35. Prescott jumped out to a 14-4 lead at the end of the first eight minutes and led 35-10 at halftime. Period three saw the Wolverette offense explode with 22 points and push the score to 57- 22. Graham led the way with 19 points, with Haynie adding 12 and Cossey scoring 10. The Wolverettes were three of five at the line. This win gave Prescott the outright conference title, as the Wolverettes had beaten the Lady Leopards of De Queen by a larger point spread.
