Eddie Hillery

Mr. Eddie Loyd Hillery, 79, of Redland Community of Prescott, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006, in the Redland Community of Prescott.

He was born on November 13, 1926, to Mac W. and Dera Cottingham Hillery. He was retired from the Reynolds Aluminum Plant after 30 years of service. He was a member of Liberty Church of the Nazerene; helped develop the Redland Fire Dept. and former Fire Chief of the Redland Fire Dept.; member of the South Central Horse Show Assoc. and he had a great love for his gaited horses, trail rides and his wagon rides.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by one son, Roger Hillery; by one brother, Macnearn Mac Hillery; and by one sister, Georgia Kulaga.

His survivors include his wife of 13 years, Bettie Milliner Hillery of Redland Community of Prescott; one son, Jerry Hillery and Rhonda of Redland Community of Prescott; four grandchildren, Kristi Neal and Darren, Chanda Martin; Justin Hillery and Lauren; and Cole Hillery, all of Prescott; three step-children, Anna Dee Askew of McCaskill, John Phillips of Nashville, and Rodney Phillips of Hope; ten step-grandchildren and five great grandchildren, Lane, Emilee, Carter, Leightyn and Kage.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2006, at Liberty Church of the Nazerene in the Redland Community in Prescott.

Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Sunday, June 4, 2006, from 3-5 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
