James Arnett, Sr.

James Robert Arnett, Sr., 76, of Prescott, died May 23, 2006 in Texarkana, Texas.

He was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force, the U.S. Postal Service and H and R Block in Prescott. He was born November 21, 1929 in Murfreesboro. He was a Master Mason with the Evergreen Masonic Lodge, Quarter Master with the VFW 8671 in Prescott. He is the son of Sid and Beulah Fugitt Arnett.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jimmy Arnett.

His survivors include his wife, Ruby Graham Arnett of Prescott; a daughter, Debbie Arnett of Grand Prairie, Texas; a son, Jason Kenworthy of Hope; two brothers, Ed Arnett of Mesquite, Texas and Bill Arnett of Emmet; three sisters, Betty Sue Johnson of Mesquite, Texas, Henrietta Lamb of Delight, and Carolyn Caver of Texarkana; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services were held Friday, May 26, 2006 at 10 a.m. in Herndon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Interment was at Nubbin Hill Cemetery in Prescott, under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home.

Visitation was Thursday, May 25, 2006 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Herndon Funeral Home.
