J.W. TaylorPublished Wednesday, May 31, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneJ. W. Taylor died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at his home in Gurdon at the age of 87. Mr. Taylor was retired from Frizzells Lumber Company as a lift operator and a member of South Fork Baptist Church in Gurdon. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Wells Taylor of Gurdon; daughter and son-in-law, Rev. David and Anna Blasi of Nashville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Priscilla Taylor, Canadian, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Oma Taylor, brother, Ruie Taylor, sisters Mary Lou Howard and Virginia Curtis. His first wife of 58 years Billie Taylor and second wife Elois Taylor, and two infant children, John Cagle Taylor and Nelda Jean Taylor also preceded him in death. Funeral services were Friday, May 26, 2006 at 2 p.m. in South Fork Baptist Church with interment in South Fork Cemetery by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon. Visitation was Thursday, May 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home in Gurdon. Send condolences to hornefuneralhome@sbcglobal.net.
