Alvin EvansPublished Wednesday, May 24, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneAlvin Buddy Evans of Kingwood, Texas, 85, died May 5, 2006, in his home. He was born February 5, 1921, in Rosston, to Loyal and Hauley Evans. He had served in the US Air Force in WWII, was a retired engineer from Pennwalt Chemical Company, and a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary. He is survived by his children, Shirley Spencer and husband Cliff, Donna Moon, Debra Kieth and husband Walter, and Terry Evans; a sister, Jean Coburn of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services were at Brookside Funeral Home in Houston, Texas, May 9, 2006. Pastor and nephew Jerry Evans officiated. The interment was at Brookside Memorial Park.
