Nell McKelvyPublished Wednesday, May 3, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Nell Wanda McKelvy, 78, of Bluff City, died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott. She was born on April 3, 1928 in Bluff City, to Lawrence and Mattie Carter Walker. She was a former cafeteria worker in the Prescott Schools. She was a member of the Bluff City Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard McKelvy and by three brothers, Terry Jack, Glen and Lyndal Walker. Her survivors include her husband, Herman McKelvy of Bluff City; one son, Ronald McKelvyof Bluff City; one daughter, Judy Phelps and James of Cabot; one daughter-in-law, Joanne McKelvy of Conway; three brothers, Bob Walker of Gurdon, Bill Walker of Bluff City, and Ted Walker of Grand Prairie, Texas; one sister, Mary Ann Walker of Camden; five grandsons, Kevin McKelvy of Conway, Jeremy McKelvy of Iraq, Chris, Greg and Austin Phelps, all of Cabot; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bill Carmen, Jeff Phillips, Brent Walker, Kevin Walker, Bobby Walker, and Michael Walker. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2006 at Bluff City Church of Christ in Bluff City with Mr. Jerry Berley officiating. Burial was in Bluff City Cemetery in Bluff City. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Sunday, April 30, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
