Ben GummesonPublished Wednesday, May 3, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Ben L. Gummeson, 54, of Prescott, died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at his home. He was born on September 19, 1951, in Santa Anna, Cali., to Otis Lavern and Jalene Hale Gummeson. He was a maintenance supervior for 7+ years with Van Oil Co. and a member of the Prescott Fire Dept. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one son, James Gummeson. His survivors include his wife of 28 years, Janis Dickerson Gummeson of Prescott; two sons, David Gummeson of Prescott and Shane Gummeson of Hope; one daughter, Jeri Spoo of Nashville; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Central Baptist Church in Prescott, with Rev. Michael Jimerson officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Monday, May 1, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
