Marie Williams

Jodie Marie Williams, 65, of Prescott, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, in the home of her daughter in Nashville.

She was born September 21, 1940, in Hope, to Ben and Ella Collins Flenory. She was married to Mr. Jerry C. Williams who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death her parents and four brothers.

She was retired from Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was a Baptist and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a caring person to others who knew her.

Survivors include her two daughters, Ruby Jefferson of Nashville, and Rose and Sedric McKillion of Prescott; two special stepchildren, Joseph Patterson of Memphis, Tenn. and Charleen and Tom Hale of Hope; three brothers, Herman and Gloria Flenory of Prescott, Charles Flenory of Washington, and Harold and Otha Flenory of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Frances and Joyce Flenory of Hope, Dorothy and Dave Marshall of Prescott, and Charleen Flenory of Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Julius Williams, Martell McKillion, Damaine Williams, Marquita, Randy Jefferson, Jr., TiAnna McKillioin, D-ante Jefferson; numerous step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, April 24, at Hicks Chapel in Hope with the Elder Robert McCoy officiating. Burial will be at St. Mark Cemetery in Guernsey under the direction of Hicks Funeral Home.
