The Prescott Depot and Museum is once again without a curator. That word came from museum board president Phillip McAdams who announced that former curator Tressa Stuarts resignation has already become effective.

The next step, according to McAdams, is for the museum board to meet and start the process of finding someone to take over those duties.

The board is going to have to meet pretty soon, McAdams said.

Stuart had only been involved with the museum for a few months and McAdams cited the problems the board had encountered in their previous search for a curator. He said there simply arent many people who are qualified for the position.

The museum is currently closed, McAdams said, since there is no one available to man it. He said he hopes that its a short-term problem, citing the positive reputation the museum has around the state. For example, McAdams said there is currently a bell on display at the state capitol rotunda that belongs to the depot museum.

McAdams said the board has had limited success with advertising for candidates for the position, and said theyll be looking at other options in their search to fill the position.
