Audie WakinPublished Wednesday, April 12, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneAudie Stuart Wakin, 83, died March 30, 2006, at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. She was born November 19, 1922 in Nevada County, to Virgil and Anna Witherspoon Stuart. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Preceding her death were her parents; one son, Jeffrey Dale Wakin in 1981; one sister, Era Avery in 1977; two brothers, Dale Stuart in 1944 and Ramon Stuart in 1983. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Tony G. Wakin of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Steven G. and Susan Wakin of Pipe Creek, Texas; two granddaughters, Cassandra A. Wakin and Kristi A. Wakin of Pipe Creek, Texas; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Eddie and Gracie Wakin of LaVergne, Tenn. and Jack Wakin of Wake Village, Texas; two nephews, Denver Avery of Delight and Jim Stuart of Prescott; three nieces, Mary Staggs of Delight, Geraldine Stockton of Prescott and Evorie Loe of Prescott. Services were conduceted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at Chapelwood Funeral Home, Nash, Texas, with Neal Ridling officiating. Entombment was at Chapelwood Mausoleum.
