Published Wednesday, March 17, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneBRADLEY 57 The Wolverettes proved they could play with the best of them as they halted the Bradley Lady Bears 68-57 to take the crown in the Prescott Classic. It was a hard fought game from the opening tip to the final buzzer, with Prescott managing to remain in control most of the way. The Wolverettes led 23-17 after one and were up 35-30 at the half. Period three saw the home team up 49-45. Stockton again provided the bulk of the offense with 24 points, while Cossey was consistent with 17. Graham scored six, but with two treys.
