George Russell HansenPublished Wednesday, April 12, 2006 in the Gurdon TimesGeorge Russell Hansen, 82, of Gurdon died March 25, 2006. He was a retired Chief Warrant Officer-W3 in the U.S. Army with 20 years of service, including service in World War II and Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Gurdon and was retired from International Paper in 1989. Survivors include: His wife of 49 years Davyne Hansen of Gurdon; two sons, Mark Hansen of Langley and David Hansen and wife Julie of Witter; a brother, Walt Hansen of Lake Bluff, Ili.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Clark County, 627 Walnut, Arkadelphia, AR 71923. A memorial service was March 28 at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, Main Street, in Gurdon to celebrate his life. Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon in charge of arrangements.
