Glendon MosesPublished Wednesday, April 5, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Glendon Elgin Mos Moses, 81, of Hope died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at his home. He was born on July 22, 1924 in Hempstead County to Elgin and Lolia S. Sinyard Moses. He was retired from Exxon Oil Refinery in Baytown, Tx. and a randcher and poultry farmer. He was a member of the Bethany Church in Spring Hill; a World War II Army Veteran; a Bronze Star recipient; a 32nd degree Mason; a Shriner; a member of the V.F.W.; and a pilot who loved to fly. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Hollis Moses. His survivors include: his wife of 58 eyars, Wyona Cox Moses of Hope; two sons, Glendon Moses, Jr. of Bailey, Colo. and Terrial Moses of Hope; two daughters, Barbara Stanphill of Hope and Glenda Morrow of Washington, D.C.; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. April 2, 2006, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope, with the Revs. James Ross and T. Don White officiating. Burial was in Huckabee Cemetery in Hope. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Family received friends Saturday, April 1, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hpe.
