Dec. 15 at Fountain LakePublished Wednesday, March 17, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Wolverettes suffered their first loss of the season, 59-53, on a road trip to Fountain Lake. There were some questionable calls in this contest, but the outcome was still the same. The Wolverettes found themselves on the short end of a 13-12 first quarter score, and were down 26-21 at the half. They had cut the gap to one, 32-31, by the end of three, but couldn't overcome the Lady Cobras in the final eight minutes. Stockton led with 26 points, with Cossey being held to eight and Graham to seven. Prescott converted nine of 13 free throws, while the home team shot 24 of 31.
