Don Reece

Mr. Don William Reece, 82, of El Paso, Texas, formerly of Hope, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, in El Paso.

He was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Hope to William Oza and Rosamond Bright Reece. He was a retired attorney. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of El Passo, and a member of the Texas Bar Association.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys Gentry, Mary Ellen Green, and Allie Mae Starnes; and one nephew, Paul Gentry.

His survivors include: one nephew, Bill Gentry of Highland Village, Texas; six nieces, Martha Calhoun of Tyler, Texas, Alice Arnette of Emmet, Peggy Spataro of Arkadelphia, Sharon Starnes of Hope, Kay Ellen Deckert of Japan, and Janice Seabot of Old Hickory, Tenn.; several great-nephews and nieces; as well as great-great-nephews and nieces; and special close friends, Calvin and Wanda Lemke; Steve, Carol, and Austin Lemke of Ruston, La., and John and Sherry Myrick of El Paso.

Memorial graveside services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Shover Springs Cemetery in Hope with Dr. Larry Silvey officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
