Ruth NewthPublished Wednesday, March 22, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Ruth E. Holder Newth, 83, of Prescott, died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was born on May 17, 1922, in Prescott, to L.A. and Emma Catherine Crank Holder. She was retired from Firestone and former cafeteria worker. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Prescott. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Newth, who died in 1967; one brother, Jack Holder; three sisters, Ohal Hendrix, Gladys Andrews, and Helen Buie. Her survivors include: three sisters, Lillian Crane of Hope, Faye House and Leonard and Louise Crayne all of Prescott; one sister-in-law, Pat Holder of Emmet; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Saturday, March 18, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
