James Davidson

Mr. James Huey J.H. Davidson, 102, of Emmet, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at his home.

He was born on December 13, 1903, in Coryell County, Texas, to John Wesley and Nettie White Davidson. He was a farmer of cattle, poultry and grain. He was a member of Pecan Grove Baptist Church of Coryell Co., Texas, and former member of both the Arkansas and National Cattlemans Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ellen Mooney Davidson, who died in July, 2001; by four brothers, Gus, Wesley, Craig, and Baxter Davidson; and by two sisters, Rosalie Blankenship and Grace Martin.

His survivors include: one son, John Davidson of Hope; one daughter, Kathleen Mitchell and Don of Emmet; one brother, Jack Davidson of Mound, Texas; six grandchildren, Katie Revels of Hope; Jennifer Patykiewicz of Dallas, Texas, Colten Davidson of Hope, Kyle Beebe of Hope, Natasha Mitchell of Little Rock and Don Paul Mitchell of Emmet; two great-grandchildren, Koby Patykiewicz of Dallas, and Kathrine Margaret Revels of Hope.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2006, at Emmet United Methodist Church in Emmet, with Rev. Wallace Davidson and Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Burial in Snell Cemetery in Emmet. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Thursday, March 9, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
