Gary Huskey

Mr. Gary W. Huskey, 67, of Blevins, died Wednesday, March 8, at this home.

He was born on August 2, 1938, in the Sweet Home Community of Blevins, to Lee H. and Hautie Lee Wardlaw Huskey. He was a retired cattle rancher and former owner/operator of Huskeys One-Stop Store in Blevins. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; a member of the Bruce Memorial United Methodist Church in Blevins; member of the Arkansas National Guard for 12 years; a former assistant Mayor in Blevins; former City Council Member; former Blevins School Board Member; and Blevins Fire Department Member.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

His survivors include: his wife of 44 years, Bonnie Cuneo Huskey of Blevins; three sons, Lee Michael Huskey and Terrie, David Huskey and Regina, and Duane Huskey, all of Blevins; one sister, Carole Hash, and Bobby, of Blevins; four grandchildren, Cheyenne Huskey, Colt Huskey, Madison Huskey, and Marah Huskey, all of Blevins; and one nephew, Johnny Hash and Pam of Blevins.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Bruce Memorial United Methodist Church in Blevins, with Rev. Jimmy Teeter officiating. Burial followed in Sweet Home Cemetery in Blevins. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Family received friends Friday, March 10, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
