David Hill

David Leroy Hill, 58, of Delight, died Thursday, March 2, 2006.

He was born on November 14, 1947, in Delight, the son of Carl Leroy Hill and Joy Virginia Bailey Hill. He was married to Paula Tate.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Danny Hill.

David was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Hill of Delight; one son, David Jake Hill, Jr. of Delight; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Johnny Mauldin of Prescott; two grandchildren; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Patsy Hill of Prescott, Donnin and Tina Hill of Prescott, Darrell and Shirley Hill of Statesville, N.C., Dennis and Micki Hill of Delight, Dewey and Joanna Hill of Delight; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dawn and Terry Don McKinnon of Prescott and Dedra and Luke Pittman of Delight; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2006, in the Crossroads Assembly of God Church near Delight, with Bros. Bernard Escalante and Danny Eckert officiating.

Visitation was Monday evening in the familys home at 7 Joy Lane, Delight.

Interment was at Delight Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Pallbearers were Ray Bailey, Terry Don McKinnon, Mark Bell, Bell Leeper, Jerry Furlow and James Snowden.

Honorary pallbearers were Leotis Snowden and Jerry Hightower, Sr.
