Jami Powell

Mrs. Jami Rochelle Woody Powell, 46, of Prescott, died Friday, February 24, 2006, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born on April 17, 1959, in Ft. Smith to Jimmy D. and Joan Blair Woody. She graduated from Greenwood High School in 1977. She was a receptionist/operations assistant for Fikes Truck Line Inc. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Prescott, Treasurer of the Prescott Riding Club and a former Nevada County 4-H Leader.

She was preceded in death by her father; her paternal grandparents, Bill and Mamie Woody; and her maternal grandparents, Frank and Letha Vozel.

Her survivors include: James R. Powell of Prescott; one son, Brody Dan Joyce of Prescott; three daughters, Logan Suzanne Joyce of Prescott, Tracy Renee Morrow and Chris of Prescott, and Lindsey Adel Powell of El Dorado; her mother, Joan B. Woody of Little Rock; two brothers, Monte Woody of Little Rock and Bill Woody of Greenwood; two sisters, Shari Brown of Greenwood and Dr. Lori Kagy of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Abigail Renee Morrow of Prescott and Christopher Tyler Morrow of Prescott; five nieces and nephews, Jessica and Jill Moore of Greenwood, Kemp and Samantha Kagy of Little Rock, and Grace Woody of Greenwood.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2006, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Taylor and Rev. Neal Ridling officiating.

Graveside services were at 4 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2006, at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood with Rev. Jerry Rice and Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Sunday, February 26, 2006, from 2-5 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
