The Wolverettes opened the 1998-99 season by blowing out an old foe 75-52.

Prescott's girls went to Gurdon with the intent of bringing home a season opening win and did. The jumped on the Lady Go-Devils 21-14 in the first period and never looked back.

By halftime, the damage was 42-20 and extended to 65-27 at the end of the third period. Coach Bill Cossey called in the troops, sending in the reserves for most of the final eight minutes.

Stacy Stockton led the attack with 27 points, while Traci Graham scored 17 and Andrea Cossey netted 13. Jeania Haynie added 11

The Wolverettes were 25 of 41 from the free throw line.
