Hugh Freeman

Hugh H. Hugh Boy Freeman, age 90 of Delight died Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at the Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

He was born July 8, 1915 in Curtis, the son of the late Lawrence Vernon and Addie Hughes Freeman. He was a retired millwright and machinist and a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Ricki Freeman Pavan and Melanie Scott Lewis and one great-grandchild, Jeremy McKin

Survivors include his wife, Rolferene Harris Freeman; three sons, Darrell Freeman of Hope, Charles Freeman of Bonnerdale and Tommy Freeman of Gurdon; five daughters, Gloria Holcomb of Amity, Shirley Scott and Hughlene Barham both of Arkadelphia, Mary Hughes of Venezuela and Janye Coe of Ragley, La.; one step-son, John Evans of Talkeena, Alaska; four step-daughters, Bea Howell of Fayetteville, N.C., Dee Rankin of Center, Texas, Ann Maguire of Atlanta, Ga., Rita Treece of Nashville, Ark.; three sisters, Dorothea Thompson of Cabot, Maye Harris of Little Rock and Faye Bernard of Vilonia; 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, in Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Delight with Bro. Wayne Sewell officiating. Interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Visitation was be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
