Wolverettes To The Finals: A RecapBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, March 17, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune From the opening day of practice, the Wolverette basketball team has had one goal and one goal only win the state title. By the end of the regular season, Prescott's Wolverettes had earned the conference title. They then won the district championship for the fourth consecutive time and followed this with their second regional crown in four years. From there, this team battled three tough opponents to earn a berth in the championship game Saturday, March 13, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center, where they faced the Lady Pirates of Dover.
